Home / Toy safety
Play with peace of mind.
Every toy we choose meets international safety standards such as CE and EN 71. Local or international, we judge every toy the same way: how it plays and how safe it is.
What does the CE mark mean?
The CE mark shows that the manufacturer declares the toy meets European toy safety rules. Toys sold in Türkiye are covered by a Toy Safety Regulation aligned with those rules, and must carry the CE mark. We look for it on every toy before it joins our shelves.
What is EN 71?
EN 71 is Europe’s series of toy safety standards. EN 71-1 covers mechanical and physical properties such as small parts that could come off and sharp edges, EN 71-2 covers flammability, and EN 71-3 covers certain substances that could migrate from paints and materials. EN 71-8 is for activity toys used at home and in the garden, such as swings, slides and climbing frames.
Official stock only
Every product comes directly from the brand or its official distributor, so we always know where each toy comes from and have its paperwork.
Klimop Knoop and EN 71-8
Knoop is being tested to EN 71-8, the standard for indoor and outdoor activity toys. Material details and the test certificate will be on the product page before sales open. Knoop is to be used under adult supervision; an assembly video and a printed guide will come in the box.
Safe play at home
01
Read the age warning.
"Not suitable for children under 36 months" means the toy has small parts and is a choking hazard.
02
Put the packaging away straight away.
Bags, labels and small bits of packaging are not toys.
03
Check toys now and then.
If a toy is loose, broken or coming apart at the seams, put it away until it’s mended.
04
Take care with batteries and magnets.
Keep button batteries and small magnets out of children’s reach. If you think one has been swallowed, call 112 straight away.
05
Give active toys some room.
Set up climbing and balance toys on flat ground, leave clear space around them, and supervise play.
06
Leave the cutting to grown-ups.
For the Play Book pages, a grown-up should do or closely help with any step that needs scissors or a stapler.
